Project Description
◆ Bamboo Workshop
Bamboo is one of Japan’s most sustainable natural resources. It grows rapidly, and even after being cut back, it regenerates strongly year after year. For centuries, the people of Miyama have relied on bamboo to create everyday tools and materials—baskets, fences, toys, musical instruments, and countless other items that supported village life.
In this private bamboo workshop, you will learn how to craft simple toys and small handmade items using locally harvested bamboo. Children can enjoy playing with the creations as the workshop progresses, making this a lively and memorable experience for both adults and families.
At the end of the workshop, you may take your handmade bamboo crafts home as unique souvenirs from Miyama.
