Project Description
At OBATAKE, guests can comfortably sleep in three separate groups, making it an ideal place for families and friends traveling together.
The first sleeping space is the bedroom in the Main House.
The second is the tatami room in the Main House, where guests can enjoy the traditional Japanese style of sleeping on futons.
And the third is the OBATAKE Annex bedroom, which we introduce here.
Located right beside the thatched-roof Main House, the Annex offers a private and peaceful bedroom space, slightly separated from the main living area. It has become a popular option for guests who value personal comfort and quietness during their stay.
The bathroom, toilet, and washroom are shared with guests staying in the tatami room of the Main House. For this reason, the Annex is designed as a simple yet luxurious space focused entirely on rest and relaxation.
The entire building is made of Japanese hiba wood, filling the room with a natural fragrance the moment you step inside. The gentle scent of hiba creates a calming atmosphere, almost like being surrounded by a forest.
This wood is Noto hiba, sourced from the Noto region. However, in 2024, a major earthquake struck the area, and many sawmills collapsed. Since then, Noto hiba has become increasingly difficult to obtain, making this Annex even more precious.
Thanks to the OBATAKE Annex, you can easily invite another couple, friends, or travel companions to join your stay. You can share the experience together while still enjoying the comfort of having separate sleeping spaces.
OBATAKE Annex was created to make your stay more flexible, more comfortable, and more memorable.
