◆ Rice Cake Making Experience
Join a traditional Japanese rice cake making experience in Miyama. Rice cakes (mochi) have long been a beloved seasonal treat in Japan, and even today they are still made in the old-fashioned way—by pounding steamed sticky rice with a wooden mallet in a stone mortar.
In this experience, you will take part in the mochi-pounding process yourself. Our staff will guide you step by step, so even first-time visitors can enjoy the activity safely and successfully.
Once the mochi is ready, you can enjoy it in both sweet and savory styles. It is a wonderful opportunity to experience Japanese food culture not only by eating, but by making it with your own hands.
*This activity is held outdoors under a covered roof.
